During my time in Italy with the MICA pre-collage Tuscany coarse, one of the cool museums(well in this case garden) that we went to were the Tarot Gardens. The Tarot Gardens were created by a woman named Catherine Marie-Agnès Fal de Saint Phalle who thought up all of these gigantic ceramic statues within this space. She even has one of her projects within the Garden that is actually a small functioning house where members of her family lived for a couple years.
One of the cool things about the garden, well at least
I thought that it was cool, was how all of the pieces were inspired by the different cards in a Tarot deck (Hence the name 'Tarot Gardens) Personally, the experience of going there was life changing. It may sound a bit cliché, but it was. Going to these gardens made me realize that art isn't always about being the best or creating amazing pieces; it made me realize that it's also about fun, enjoyment, and to let thoughts and feelings escape. I actually got to create two pieces in my sketchbook, that i ad with me in Italy, just from being inspired by her art.

So this is my AP summer homework piece. The style of this piece came from an artist named Eridanus Sellen.
