  1. Wow Lyndsay, that bow looks really great. I can tell you've spent a lot of time on it! I like that although it looks smooth, you can still see some of the markmaking. I think the AP board will like that too. I also really like the knot of the bow, it definitely stands out. I'm sure you'll complete the rest of this piece with the same level of detail! Once you do it'll look great. What will you put in at the top? It looks a little empty with the outline the way it is.

  2. Yeah... I know it looks empty right now. In the photo there is a giant, shimmery piece of fabric that's hanging behind the objects the objects. I just didn't draw in the folds since I was just outlining stuff in.

  4. GOD DAMMIT LYNDSAY. IT'S GORGEOUS SO FAR.

    The purse looks so realistic!

The bottom part of the purse needs a bit more contrast, but other than that, looks awesome!

  5. Lyndsay, this looks great so far! The purse is very well-rendered and you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. See if you can carry on with that quality throughout the rest of the piece. I am curious to see what you will do with the rest of the pieces and the background. Just make sure not to make the rest of it too dark. The purse is obviously dark because it's black so it probably won't be a problem. Keep up the good work!

  6. Hey Lindsay, this purse looks great. Just make sure you have a variety of shades and shadows and tones to balence out the picture. I like how you created a texture in the purse (which is really hard to do with charcoal). I just hope that your quality stays consistent, if that makes any sense.

  7. Ahhhh Lindsay I want that purse so badly :D It looks great! I like the folds! It would look much greater if you put more shades and highlight it. I cannot wait to see you putting other stuff together <3

  8. looking sooo good so far!!!! i love how dramatic it is!! it'll be interesting to see the finished piece. i would make sure you keep contrast in mind as you work with the background, to not make the entire piece so dark.
    great job other thanthat!

  9. I love the detailed shading on the purse. The ribbon looks really 3D. Hope you can shade the other stuffs on the back as detailed as the purse! Good job!

  10. get some charcoal all over the page and erase out the highlights and you will soon feel close to being finished.
