He so this is the figure drawing....

  1. Lyndsay! It looks so rough, in a finished way. Like, the marks hold a lot of tension. At least, that's how it feels to me. And I love the background, the contrast really adds to the piece. Her neck and the muscles in her upper back look amazing, and the only thing I would suggest is to add some more detail like that in her lower back perhaps? It just feels not quite as finished to me, thats all. But it looks great!!

  2. Lyndsay, this looks really good! As Abby said, I love the background too, it's just the perfect level of brightness if that makes sense. The figure is very well-rendered. The only suggestion that I have is to maybe make the figure as a whole a little bit less skeleton-like. If you're going for that, never mind. The bones are just very prominent, especially in the arms and upper back. Looks great!

  3. Wow, this looks really good. The background works with it really well. I like how you made a slight gradiation from orange to bright yellow. This gives the figure an emotion. But see if you can add more than just color; maybe you could add some lines or some sort of pattern. But I really like what you did so far.

  4. This is absolutely amazing Lyndsay! It is so strong, and you did a great job working with a backlit figure. I think the lighting seems to flood her left hip a bit too much, which makes it appear a bit concave, and you could easily round that out with some shadow. But I do love what you've done with the lighting and your markmaking is outstanding. Some of it could be softened up a bit, like her shoulders feel very defined in a slightly odd way, same with the muscles in her forearms. But there is a lot of tension and energy to this piece that I love!

  8. The twist of the figure is dynamic and the glow of the yellow makes it feel energized from heaven.
    Lovely piece.

  9. backround glow is very even and well done. i only feel that the rendering of the figure does not match the intensity or realism of the piece. still a great piece, its really good
